The Euclid Board of Education met on July 10th, 2024, in the Board Room at the Fordyce Administration Building at 7:00 pm.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Board President Gabrielle Kelly, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Four Board Members were present. Mrs. Turos was unable to attend the meeting. Superintendent Papouras was also unable to attend the meeting, Assistant Superintendent Karen Brown stood in his place.
The Board reviewed and accepted the agenda for the evening.
The Board adopted the minutes from the June 12th and 26th Board Meetings.

Reports and Recommendations of the Treasurer
This portion of the meeting covered some of the financial data of the district. With the closing of the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year, some reports were not available at the time of the meeting. Euclid Schools Treasurer Steve Vasek led the Board Members through District Financial Statements.
The Board approved the Financial Data for the month of June in FY 2023-2024.
The Board approved adjustments to appropriations.
The Board approved Treasury/Finance Department Positions, Reappointments, Reclassifications, Salary Schedules and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Reports and Recommendations of the Superintendent
Personnel
The Board approved changes to Certified and Classified personnel in the form of resignations, terminations, retirements, permanent substitute appointments, non-teaching appointments, non-teaching assignments, extra duty, athletic duty, athletic duty resignations, and leaves.
Contracts/Agreements
The Board approved the collective bargaining agreement with the OAPSE Chapter 128 (Paraprofessionals) for 2024-2027.
Curriculum & Instruction
The Board amended Summer Curriculum Work consisting of creating common curriculum maps and professional development programs.
The Board approved the adoption of the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) Into Algebra Two curriculum for the Euclid High School.
Routine Business
The Board approved the renewal of Edulastic to provide teachers, site administration and district leaders with an efficient way to assess students and analyze meaningful data.
The Board approved the renewal purchase of Amplify Boost Reading & Amplify CKLA workbooks to complement the K-5 reading curriculum.
The Board approved the renewal of Nearpod/Flocabulary to support collaborative student discourse, vocabulary development and teacher planning.
The Board approved the renewal of a contract with Branching Minds for RTI (Response to Intervention)/MTSS (Multi-tiered Support Systems) system-level practice and support.
The Board approved the renewal of iReady–a computer adaptive, blended learning program used to support students enrolled in K-8th grades. iReady helps teachers identify gaps in student learning and determine where students are ready for acceleration.
The Board approved the renewal of Imagine Learning/Edgenuity to provide access to grades 6-12 for remote digital instruction and online credit recovery.
The Board declared transportation impractical for a pupil who is eligible for transportation to and from a school located outside the transportation radius of the District.
The Board approved lunch prices for the 2024-2025 School Year.
The Board authorized the advancement of funds for Cafeteria cashier banks for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Miscellaneous
The Board authorized the Euclid High School Volleyball Teams to participate in overnight field trips for volleyball tournaments at Cedar Point.
Policies
The Board conducted second and final readings of policies regarding Student Assessment and Intervention Services and the Third Grade Reading Guarantee.
